ADDISON TOWNSHIP REPUBLICAN HEADQUARTERS |
We hav opened a 5500 square foot headquarters that will not only serve the ATRO, it will also serve as the northern Illinois headquarters for Bill Brady, Dennis Reboletti for State Representative, Don Puchalski for County Board Member, and Dewey Pierotti for DuPage Forest preserve President. It would be a shame to have such a large, beautiful headquarters and not have any volunteers working inside. So we are asking anyone and everyone to come on in and give us a hand working to defeat the tax and spend Democrats.
We need people to help us put signs together, stuff envelopes, make phone calls, and do all sorts of campaign duties. You can come any time of the day or night seven days a week. Want to work from home instead? We can arrange that as well.
The headquarters is located at 455 W. Lake St in Elmhurst . That is on the northeast corner of Lake St and Church Road . It is best that you call first before coming in----------
The phone numbers are----
For the ATRO----630-359-3543
For Dennis Reboletti----630-359-3547
For Don Puchalski---630-359-3546
For Dewey pierotti---630-359-3543

SB600 CAN DELIVER A SCOTT LEE COHEN INTO THE GOP RANKS |
Scott Lee Cohen became a fiasco for the Democrat Party and should be the warning shot across the bow of the ill-advised who sail the ship in harms way in support of SB600. Imagine opening the doors in nineteen Congressional Districts to anyone interested in running for Republican State Central Committeeman which is exactly what SB600 proposes. With some of the characters running around the Republican Party calling themselves Republicans as Cohen called himself Democrat, we could end up with more than a few Cohen’s sitting as members of the Republican State Central Committee.
It wasn’t too long ago that we had to change the law to allow President Candidate Committees to choose for themselves who they wanted to run for Delegate and Alternate Delegate. Prior to that the field was wide open, just like SB600, allowing anyone to be elected as Delegates and Alternates. This foolish concept elected some whacko candidates that the Candidate was embarrassed to have on his slate. I remember a few that got elected being LaRouche’s. Another phony Republican Delegate was elected because he possessed the identical name to a County Clerk who was extremely popular at the time.
There has been instance after instance where past history has proven support of legislation like SB600 can go, and has gone wrong. And now the Cohen case presents itself as further proof that candidates that can damage the Republican Party to a point of no return can get elected.
Many years ago I was privy to being a part of the Committee that elected our great friend Ron Smith to the State Central Committee on an open countywide ballot. Today Ron Smith preaches to anyone who will listen, and I concur, that race divided our Party to such a degree that it took years to mend. He and I both oppose SB600 with every fiber of our bodies because we experienced first hand the destruction it can cause.
There are some rich people out there itching to spend their money to buy a seat, or several seats on our State GOP Central Committee. They want to show Party regulars like me how dramatically fast they can destroy the principles our Party stands for. They don’t want to get into the system to work towards change like I have for 47 years, they want to buy it now, just like Cohen did. It’s easy to do and Scott Lee Cohen showed us how it can be done.
At the present time the GOP Precinct Committeemen who just got elected on February 2nd will gather at Convention in Wheaton on March 3rd to elect our County GOP Chairman and Secretary. At that Convention, they will break off into groups broken down by the Congressional District in which they live to vote for the person they believe will serve them best as their State Central Committeeman. These are the same Precinct Committeemen who just got done going door to door in their respective precincts getting to know their voters first hand.
Who wants to tell these Precinct Committeemen that their right to choose their own representative and the representative of the voters who elected them at the State Party level will be taken away from them if SB600 becomes law? I challenge every supporter of SB600 to speak out at each of the three Congressional caucus’s that will be held and tell those Precinct Committeemen how wrong it is for them to select a candidate they know personally. I further challenge the SB600 supporters to tell those Precinct Committeemen that the voters would know who to choose better than them. I guess just like the Democrat voters knew all about Scott Lee Cohen.
As much as I respect the voter, and especially the Republican voter, I think they would accept my recommendation and choice on who best will serve our Party as State Central Committeeman. What the SB600 supporters would never accept is a poll of the electorate. For example, ask 100 voters who their President is and most will probably get it right. For Governor? Not as many as President but still okay. For Congress? In the 6th District certainly more would say Roskam than if they were asked who is the State Comptroller.
Now ask them who did they just elect to be their County Clerk, their County Board Member, and their Forest Preserve Commissioner? Who just got elected Judge? How many out of 100 voters could name them? So is putting anyone and everyone on the ballot for State Central Committeeman in an area almost as large as DuPage County a good idea, or should the people who were just elected to represent the people in their precinct choose who that person should be?
The next time you run into Zaruba, or Sutter, or Cronin ask them how much a countywide mailing cost to all the Republican households, then multiply that by the average of three. And how much to purchase 5000 yard signs, 500 4’X4’ signs, 225,000 pieces of literature for the Precinct Committeemen to hand out. Billboards? TV Commercials? Website? Target mailings? And don’t forget to attend every township GOP meeting for months. For a job like State Central Committeeman that pays zero, who could afford to get elected? If you are Scott Lee Cohen, or someone as rich as him you could get elected and you would most likely beat the qualified, deserving, sincere GOP Party choice.
So beware of those espousing SB600. They don’t want you to know about or meet those rich individuals out there like Scott Lee Cohen that are just dying to throw their money to win a seat or two on our State Central Committee. At least I know Chris Kachiroubas in the 6th District. He started at the bottom as a YR, then a Precinct Committeeman until reaching his present position. Certainly those in the 13th District know Roger Claar. These are people who have worked long and hard for the Republican Party. Should we replace them with a Scott Lee Cohen type? I don’t think so. Down with SB600, and I can’t wait for the 6th District caucus.

Democrat Sen. Harry Reid Involved in Blagojevich Scandal? |
Reid urged Blagojevich to appoint either Illinois Veterans Affairs chief Tammy Duckworth or Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Saturday, citing anonymous sources.
Reid reportedly opposed the appointments of Democratic Reps. Jesse Jackson Jr. and Danny Davis because the Democratic leader feared they would lose the seat to a Republican in the 2010 general election. Reid also allegedly opposed Emil Jones, the powerful black leader of the Illinois Senate, on the same grounds.
"What is clear to me is that every candidate that was African-American was denied and every other candidate was acceptable," said Wright, adding, "I'm not going to read too much into that."
